Grosvenor Garden Centre held a highly successful open evening recently (19th November), exclusively for mailing list customers, with everyone enjoying wine and mince pies as they shopped ‘til they dropped!
With sales up in comparison to the same customer open evening in November 2007, Grosvenor was cheered by the response to the credit crunch although there are likely to be testing times ahead.
“We were delighted by the number of people who joined us for our exclusive mailing list open evening and thrilled that the current economic climate has not deterred customers from enjoying a fabulous Christmas,” commented Iain Wylie, managing director.
Offering popular demonstrations and food tastings, the evening gave everyone the chance to pick up handy hints within a festive atmosphere, and surrounded by a vast selection of high quality Christmas gifts, decorations and locally sourced food in the ever popular food department.
“We continually strive to offer our customers exceptional quality products which, at the same time, represent great value for money, and this policy still appears be working despite the economic downturn,” Iain continued.
For anyone wishing to enjoy further exclusive mailing list events throughout the year, they should visit www.grosvenorgardencentre.co.uk and register their details to be kept informed of any future events.
And following Santa’s arrival at Grosvenor last weekend (29th and 30th November), the garden centre saw sales up on the same weekend in 2007. Having arrived on his sleigh with three reindeer, a stiltwalker and Grosvenor’s mascot Grosvenorman, and accompanied by the City of Chester band, Santa’s atmospheric appearance through the fog was hailed a popular success by visitors of all ages.
Santa has made time in his hectic schedule to return to the garden centre every day in December before Christmas for Storytime with Santa sessions where children can enjoy a story read by Santa, together with refreshments and a memento to take home. Times and tickets are available from Grosvenor’s reception.
